Are you a survivalist or someone who is interested in knowing the components of the atmosphere we live in? If so, you need a Radiation Detector, also known as a Geiger Counter. Radiation detectors are used to detect, track, and/or identify high-energy particles such as those produced by nuclear decay, radiation, nuclear medicine or reactions in a particle accelerator. Our website has some of the most popular radiation detectors and includes ratings and comments from people who purchased them. Order yours today while supplies last!

Radiation Detectors

Amazon Description: Radioactivity indicator «SOEKS» 01M is intended to estimate the level of radioactivity and detect objects, foodstuffs, construction materials contaminated by radioactive elements. Radioactivity indicator evaluates radiation background on the amount of power of ionizing radiation (gamma and beta-particles) with taking into account X-rays. Find Out More

Amazon Description: This unit has built in efficiencies for common isotopes to calculate activity in Bequerels and DPM. It is optimized to detect small changes (low levels) in radiation levels and to have high sensitivity to many common radionuclides. The new back lit display shows readings in your choice of counts per minute (CPM), counts per second (CPS) uSv/hr, mR/hr, or in accumulated counts. The Inspector USB counts ionizing radiation changes, and the unit of measurement is selected and displayed using the mode switch. Find Out More

Amazon Description: Scan items for radiation, detect Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (NORM) and continuously monitor your environment. Ideal solution for First Responders, Homeland Security, Medical Safety, Educators, Researchers and Geologists. This Geiger counter delivers laboratory grade performance in a small package. The two-line, alphanumeric display supports both English and Japanese languages promoting ease-of-use and concise measurement. The display is backlit to support low-light conditions. Find Out More

Amazon Description: This unit is a handheld radiation detector that detects potentially harmful ionizing alpha and beta particles, and gamma and x-ray radiation, with an external probe, and has a four-digit, LCD digital display of either millirem (mR) per hour and counts per minute (CPM); or microSieverts (μSv ) per hour and counts per second (CPS), and function indicators, and comes with a carrying case with probe cover. This detector can detect low levels of the four main types of ionizing alpha and beta particles, and gamma rays and x-rays over automatic operational ranges. Find Out More

Pros:  Newest version of the Inspector radiation detectors, takes timed counts, compact

Cons:  Will not work in temperatures above 100F, not usable at moderately high altitudes

Pros:  US made Geiger tube, great user interface and features, great product, excellent detector

Cons:  Expensive, would have been nice for the DC power plug to have been included

Pros:  Best option out there, the unit worked flawlessly, minimal time needed to learn and operate

Cons:   Would prefer one with a long rod tip so I don't have to bend down

Pros:  Professional geiger counter, the price seems like a good value, battery life is long

Cons:  Software is apparently for Windows only, detecting time seems long, missing software disc

Pros:  Great accurate device, a smart and useful device, geiger counter was great, outstanding

Cons:   Inconsistent results and doesn't work in humidity, strange and awkward design
